iRobot will release base roomba unit for hackers. They realized that quite a few people were hacking their vacuums and figured they might as well offer a stripped down version that's missing the vacuum as a robot platform. It's totally hackable and contains all of the sensors of the original roomba. Very cool idea!

Wondering what's real and what isn't? The Wikipedia entry is, while shorter than Spain's, still quite informative: read about how Borat made some lady lose her job and sanity, how Borat got his, and how Borat inspires anger among the duped.

The Girls I Have Dated - "And now? Now, I don't sleep with anyone. It has been 4 years, cold turkey. I dunno. Everytime some friend tries to set me up on a date, I have this flashback to that no-name girl sitting on the fence post outside that Hampton's bar. The one I fucked, but didn't want to see her face. I think of that girl and then politely decline the offer of a date. It sounds hard not to have sex, but actually, it's just easier. "

A thoughful essay on the meaning and current state of representative democracy in the US - As Ds and Rs in Gulfstreams flock to Virginia to stake out positions exactly opposite to those they represented in 2000, I think this article raises several interesting points.
