Those of you running linux can use CDDA2Wav to rip (rrriiiippppppp!) your CDs to the hard drive in essentially the same way as Audiograbber.

So do the non-austinites have to ship our package so that they arrive in time for the Austin exchange? When will we find out what the total tally is?? When's the sign up deadline?

dude, you are so dorky I think you just gave me cancer...

Come by and we'll see if we can detect it with my thesis project.

Count me in. Just 'cause it's more fun that way, each of my tracks will connect in some thematic way to the next track... for instance, Fiona Apple's "Across the Universe" could be followed by an Apples in Stereo song ("Apple" in artist name) or by Stevie Wonder's "We Can Work it Out" (both Beatles covers).

I posted on the NAQ (although it should go into the AAQ) that I figure that if the non-austinites can ship their stuff so that it arrives by October 25, that would be awesome. It isn't necessary, but the basic principle is that I can't send you back a box until I receive one from everybody (so that I can make complete sets). So the sooner they all arrive, the better. The actual date I set was pretty much arbitrary, so just send it whenever you can.

I think there's also a song about apples by the Barenaked Ladies which could segue into any number of songs, I'm sure.

Or any Beatles song (not including Across the Universe, which was a Lennon song) because those were all published on Apple Records (which is now hilariously suing Apple computers because they have ventured into "music publishing" by starting up iTunes).
Or Sinatra's "New York, New York"
Or Cibo Matto's "Apple"
Or ...

Speaking of Mix Tapes...
