I see that white Velocity Deep-Vs are de rigueur amongst NYC messengers.

I know from personal experience that those rims are nearly indestructible. I was run up a curb on a set that I built up with Phil Wood hubs -- I ended up with a broken frame (cracked down tube behind my head tube) and a broken crank (suguino mighty competition), but surprisingly, I barely had to re-true my wheels.

BTW - front wheel was radial lace and rear was standard 3x.

This is the blue frame that you had repaired by Hujsak?

All of the Velocity products are highly regarded. I like that you can now get the Deep-V in really cool prints...

yep - that's the frame. after the repair, I put in a phil wood bottom bracket and chris king headset -- it's still my daily commuter (10+ mi) and I haven't had to do anything to it except repair flats and replace tires.

yawn.

Was something supposed to be going on in those videos? I guess those pedestrians were walking pretty cool. Maybe it was the driving? NYC driving is awfully tough from what I hear. Was it a city video tour? huh.
