Death Race Neat, someone finally went in my brain and pulled out some of my adolescent violent fantasy....
Thanks to that title does anyone have Michael Stipe singing "smack. crack. shack-a-lack. Tie another one on your back. baby." now stuck on endless loop in their head?
Probably not.
Trust me, TTJ knows all about the earlier version -- I just enjoyed an erudite 10-minute discursus on the subtle genius that encompasses this, David Carradine's finest work. I've only seen it twice, but I'm sure John's seen it at least a half-dozen times.
No REM for me, but instead The Cars. You can't go on thinking nothing's wrong, you know.
ND - When I first saw the poster I was thinking maybe someone had remade DR2000, but then I wondered why there wasn't, say, a 3000 on there. So when I was in the theater preparing to witness Gnarly monsters get it on with fantastic machines, I saw the preview and realised that no, its more Running Man, all mixed up with Racing Entertainment at its base essence with a dash of road racing on top...
