my curiosity about this is strictly biological. I admittedly do not know much about the designation of transgender. From what I've seen I'm taking it that this is a biological female that has had reconstructive breast surgery, takes hormone therapy but still has female genitalia? I'm just wondering how they got the embryo in there. I am quite familiar with surgical techniques to implant an embryo into a uterus directly but I'm also thinking at the time of labor having reassigned genetetalia would be problematic at best, which is why I'm thinking this individual still has....girlie bits.

Personally I don't givashit what people do in their personal lives so long as it's consensual and adult. If a pregnancy can be safely carried to term this way, more power to them. Sure they'll have a different family dynamic but I think that having supportive, nurturing guidance from parental adults is more important than what that form is. I've met plenty of gay men I wish were my dad in my day because my dad sucks.

I'm just curious about the biology here. If it's legitimate, it's interesting, but I can already think of several reasons why people are skeptical about this and are wondering if it's all a hoax.

YOu're mostly right, he's been taking male hormone treatment, but has not had the sex reassignment surgery, but I think it's actually simpler than that--I believe that he got pregnant via artifical insemination, but he talks about beginning to have a period again after going off of the hormone threapy, so yes, he still has ovaries and a vagina and everything.

I thought this was the first time we had a pregnant man in our national discourse.

Nope, it was this.

Holy crap, look at that cast. Plus it's hovering at 2.9/10 on IMDb ratings...how could I have not known about this movie before?

I remember renting it from our local U-Haul (!!!). They used to supplement their business with a robust 99 cent VHS rental business.
