Girls Are Yucky - This just reaffirms my suspicion originally made during the educational film shown at ExMFC...
On the other hand, it's possible that teenage boys have a lower incidence of STDs than teenage girls: 1) For many STDs (I don't know about these specific ones), it is less likely in a given encounter for a man to contract an STD from a woman than visa versa; 2) It seems that teenage girls are much more likely than teenage boys to sleep with someone much older, thus taking them out of this "boy" "girl" pool of teenagers. At least that's the impression I got when I was a teen.
granted you said "possible" but item 1 is a pretty broad sweeping generalization that may be true for some STD's but certainly not all.
item 2 may be historically true but with the increasing popularity of cougarism, may not be true for long. Unfortunately you were born at the wrong time to have a higher probabilty of nailing your hot high school teacher. But hey maybe your son will have a shot.
Even given that, remove the words "boy" and "girl" and insert "male" and "female" and the entire argument becomes irrelevant to Ziggy's original point that "girls" = "females" are yucky. : P
Oh, I agree. I just wanted to make a reference to the educational film about STDs... where shown graphically is figurines of people's behaviour, where a man is likely to sleep with a woman but a woman is likely to sleep with four men.
This is also more of an update to a previous tread.

education films about STD's, now the conversation is making me remeber what we had to watch in high school which is making me think of that movie, "The Girl Next Door".
: D
Yeah, girls=women, boys=men ruins my point 2, and of course what's true for HIV is not true for all STDs, so my point 1 is pretty weak. I withdraw my comment.
Also, it should be noted that there is no way to test males for HPV, other than to note that they actually have developed genital warts. So there is a massive problem of comparison, anyway, seeing as HPV is far and away the most common STD.
LOL!
I think Know for Sure (14:30) is the film zieglerfe is thinking of where one woman on a chart spreads syphilis to all sorts of people. The discussion of a "high school hookups" graph is here. Archive does not have a movie called "The Girl Next Door" and that is too ubiquitous on youtube. There are several other films on sex education and the famous Disney and Kotex produced The Story of Menstruation that might tickle your fancy however.
I think Vanalyn is referring to the Hollywood movie "The Girl Next Door" which features a sex-ed film as a plot point.
Ah yes, I misread the sentence as "The Girl Next Door" which was the movie she had to watch in high school.
Speaking of the Girl Next Door, doncarlo and I were impressed to see its director get another shot in Hollywood after reading his delusional commentary about his first movie.

Well unless lesbianism is also rampant amongst teen age girls they are getting those ickies from boys who are getting it from other girls who are getting it from other boys....round and round it goes and there you have a chicken or the egg argument. : )
