IF YOUR PAGE LOOKS WEIRD PLEASE HIT SHIFT-RELOAD
It's always bugged my that the AlkalineEarth (MetaPhilter) code doesn't handle lists, blockquote's or pre's correctly: it inserts newlines even where they don't belong. So for the people who know what that means, you can now do so safely.
I've also diddled the style sheet a bit to adjust to the (new, more rational) formatting. I may have consequently screwed any number of pooches... If you notice anything weird or ugly please post below.
Hit shift-reload, and if that doesn't work empty your browser cache (you need to force the browser to fetch the new style sheet).
SWEET! Shift reload fixed the calendar on top problem.

Nope. I don't think PREs are fixed... But why bother? AE is already PRE enough as it is...
OK, that looks fixed now.
I like it. The new one's got a whole lot of white, which makes me want to use BOLD a whole lot more.
funny - even after shift reloads - my AE page still looks like the before view.
I think the links for before and after are flipped. Therefore, I think McD liked the old one better and pablo has no reason to be confused. I think the new one is nice.
In that case - maybe I liked the old better. Won't charge you for my opinion.
Actually, I didn't say I liked the new one (which was actually the old one) better, just that I liked it. My criticism about wanting to use bold a lot goes away with the new one, and honestly I'm glad.
Since I normally read it as plain text in an RSS viewer, it's less important to me.
Quotes in link text is acting weird. I will fix it when it bugs me or when one of you does.
