How to completely dupe most Salon readers(req. subs.)... Garrison Keillor write a seemingly nostalgic piece about the good old days, before gays, people of color and pizza. People take it seriously.
Dan Savage takes it seriously. People all assume he is serious because they think he is genuinely into glorifying folksiness, which I suppose means they have never listened to PHC, which parodies and praises in equal amounts. (I mean, come on, The Catsup Board?!). (from the Editors)

Oh yeah, you do not really need a subs if you will just sit through the 3.4s ad about buying a DVD or eating more catsup (mellowing agents!) or whathaveyou.
