Holy shit both of those were funny. Colbert was friggin' brilliant in that segment, I've never seen him quite as awesome as that. Defenitely makes up for the uncomfortable mess at the White house press ball thing...
Paris or one of its environs? Nice.
sG:
You didn't like his performance at the white house press correspondents dinner? I thought that was the best thing he ever did, with the main problem that he was actually insulting the jackasses to their faces.
I'm gonna hafta side with Valtan... I thought the white house press dinner performance wsa completely brilliant and hilarious. yes, it was extremely uncomfortable to watch b/c of how dead on he was, and how he told the emporer repeatedly that he was wearing no clothes. but the brass balls he showed by doing it and continuing it in the face of dying laughter, and in front of bush was amazing. i went from admiring his intellect and sense of humor to thinking this guy is one of the most courageous people i've seen.
I read that Mrs. Bush refused to shake Stephen's hand after the address.
Just noticed the category for this one. Ace work TWiT-B.
He gets credit for having balls but his jokes fell flat and attacking the president directly like that was just uncomfortable. I dind't think he was particularly funny when bashing the president and he could have done a much better job at making fun of the man without making it such a pain to watch. I despise the president as much as you do but I just didn't appreciate that performance.
