Moyers new program (Faith and Reason) looks great. He looks at the difficulties of having rational discourse about emotional topics, the juncture of religion and rationality, and hopefully has some wisdom for bringing the two together.
My God could beat up your God with one hand tied behind his omnipotent back. Rational, ordered universe gods are for wussies.
Thank you for exemplifying the difficulties inherent in this discourse.
Any time. :)

Seems to me that there's no problem holding rational and religious views simultaneously. To say that exploration of nature's laws detracts from spirituality is tantamount to saying that god has to work in inexplicable (magical) ways. My god is greater than that. he has a rational, ordered universe that can be explained and explored, and it only makes him kick ass that much more.
