Kind of makes you want to gank a cheap(?) 3G Ipod off of Ebay

Damn. One of the iPod auctions showed an iPod playing Eric Clapton's "Cocaine". Now that song is stuck in my head, and all because of a picture.

Dude, now you'd better take her out.

She don't lie.

Wikipedia on an ipod? Sounds like an terrible experience!

Don't be a fool. If I had a nickel for everytime someone wanted to look something up at lunch or dinner...well, I'd still be stuck here in grad school but I'd have a few more lunches. Until it is transparent, fast, free (or very cheap), and available at every geographical location to access the real wikipedia via phone or PDA, you gots to go Ipod.

This is awesome. I was actually thinking about this a few days ago -- that I'd like some partitioned subset of wikipedia to carry around on my windows smartphone.

the idea is sweet but i like mrflips's idea of an encyclophonia a little better. i always have my phone with me and i less than always have my ipod - limited pocket space. still putting this on my ipod though.

don't you think looking up something with nothing more than a scroll wheel would be a total bitch? I can understand it on a smartphone but not ipod.

I had that thought, too, sG.

Unless they let you use the scroll wheel to pick out letters, AND have auto-complete on it, finding stuff'll be a nightmare.

BTW natedogg -- did you just sneak an impromptu AEthermuck into the links of the first sentence? Way to be.

hence the quotation marks

Hooray! For Smartphones/WindowsMobile, there's Lexipedia. There are also many other ways to view Wikipedia on your PDA

fuck you asshole! Palm's where it's at not WindowsStinkingPlileOfPlopMobile.

*neglects to mention that the company who purchased palmsource essentially dumped the os for a linux mobile solution*
