speaking of requiem for a dream, that might be the worst possible date movie ever. I know from experience...

I accidentally watch reqiuem by myself one saturday night (my roomates left it lying around). WOW! I had to watch se7en to make myself feel better.

I knew it!

I accidentally didn't watch Requiem even though I had zieglerfe's DVD copy sitting on my coffee table for almost half a year. Sitting and just staring at me. *shudder*

Bring a date.

I love the movie. Shall I count the ways?

I bought the soundtrack a little after (music by the Kronos Quartet) and fell asleep while listening to it. That was not a good idea.

So, I suggest two things. Bring a date to watch the movie. Do not listen to the soundtrack while sleeping.

Another good date movie is "Swimming with Sharks" "because life... is not a movie. Everyone lies. Good guys lose. And love... does not conquer all. "

For any first date, I second In the Company of Men and recommend a double feature with Bad Lieutenant. While listening to Side 1 of Led Zeppelin IV, of course.
