yeah, everyone knows that the uniqueness theorem applies to blogs therefore if a story exists on fark it couldn't have been found elsewhere.

I was just thinking that the catagory "another farking repost" is seldom never used.

It is interesting that on the comment thread for the link on fark someone complains because the link was posted on some other bloggy-type web site 3 or 4 days before being posted on fark, insinuating that fark is out of date.

you may be sad to find out that we had a kit in my lab for this stuff. since it probably entered about when the vacuum tubes did, it is dry, dry, dry.
but if you think you can resucitate it, go head.

Alternatly, you could go for the ghetto version and visit the Korgel lab. We had some iron oxide particles in chloroform that you could pull around with a magnet. I don't think that they made nice sharp pointy patterns, though.

I'm not offended but it's like the first post that I've been accused of refarking when in fact it wasn't refarked. 99% of the time you would be right.

I saw that ferrofluid in a shock absorber application once and they could tune the dampening using em fields. $$$
