So I was at the Greenbelt this past weekend and there was a guy there with a T-Shirt on. That's normal, but the T-Shirt had a picture and a saying printed on it. Also normal. The picture was of Donald Duck. Just a normal looking Donald Duck. That's still normal. But underneath Donald the shirt said "Chick Magnet". That was not so normal. So I just had a thought "where can I get a shirt like that". So I google. And come across a book about Donald Duck. Sorta. How to Read Donald Duck: Imperialist Ideology in the Disney Comic
. Wow! That's quite a title. I wonder if UT has this book....
Holy nuts, did anyone read the comments on the Amazon page? I'm not sure if this is page has become another secret piece of internet hilarity (ala David "Hot Rock City is a particular favorite" Hasselhoff) or if it's for real. What a weird range of responses. Makes me want to travel on down to PCL. Let's see who gets the book first...
wow. those comments are crazy! also of relevant note: turns out that w. disney was hugely anti-union and also way into blacklisting communists. maybe this book goes through all of that in detailed detail also.
