Just got finished reading an interesting article on Carole Keeton [McClellan Rylander] Strayhorn in Texas Monthly. Turns out Texas Monthly is a pretty good read. I snagged it from my parents house which is strange because it seems pretty left leaning compared with FoxNews, their favorite source for "fair and balanced" news coverage. Anyways, you know the peppery grandma is about to mount an effort to score some elected office (govenor, lt. govenor?) but did you also know:
Page Keeton was her father? Oh yeah, Page Keeton was a dean of the school of law for 25 years and is the namesake for Dean Keeton street.
Our president's press secretary Scott McClellan is her son.
I thought that was pretty interesting mainly because I always wondered if the "dean" in dean keeton was his name or job. Well, now I know...
