Damn, they did up it to 2GB tho. Right at the moment I looked at it the number had grown to 1414MB and I was all, "why give root(2) GB of storage? That's weird." The ticking counter is a nice marketing touch. 

You know, Gmail was an April Fools joke last year so I'm actually looking forward to enjoying a Google Gulp in the coming months. After they change the name when 7-11 sues them, but still.

I find that I only go to the first link in a google search about half the time or less. I wonder how effective this pre-loading thing would really be and whether it is spending the CPU cycles and bandwidth on if I'm not going to go to the pages all that often. I feel like firefox has enough on its hands just loading the page I asked for (on my home computer, at least) let alone an extra few.
