This is interesting, it's a program that takes the DRM off of your AAC files that you bought through itunes. hymn-project.org
Hymn's been around a while. PlayFair's successor.
I'm so far out of the loop it looks like a point from here.
Sweet! Now I can use all of these "free itunes songs" caps from pepsi products that I have been hoarding.
Another DRM stripper:

Or you guys can just use TorrentSpy or TorrentBox...
Apple to Pymusique: DENIED!
Apple to hymn-project: PWNED. You should have got in while the getting was good. Also, you might note that Pymusique was brought to you by "DVD Jon" who you might remember from such lawsuits as MPAA vs. DeCSS.
Pymusique to Apple: RE-PWNED.
Nice work. Notable however:
"Brocious said the updated version of PyMusique would only be available for Linux, and that the programmers would not make a Windows version this time."
Pymusique to Windows users: j00 r 1am3rs

Interesting, it seems that the program works by convincing the DRM that it's a computer and then proceeds to convert the file to wav format as if it were burning a CD. Next it either converts the file to mp3 or back to unprotected aac in a fairly slow process. Still, I guess it's worth being able to play the songs on non ipod devices.
