Ouch, I would hate to be one of the graders and have to suffer through the student comments from this one. It's like he gets to put down all of the things we always wanted to say...

What do you think... real, or fake? My guess is fake -- scanned in the hw then added the comments with a stylus.

you could probably walk over to PAI right now and see if they are there. I think real since it costs almost nothing for a graduating senior to graffito some papers when they are laid out in a public place. Hell, I've thought about doing it outside of 9.222 before.

Sweet! A Lewis Black reference.

...because that's the kind of sentence that when you hear it, your brain comes to a screeching halt. And the left-hand side of the brain looks at the right-hand side of the brain and goes- 'It's dark in here, and we may die.'"

well, keep your ears to the ground, because i suppose if it is real, that we will hear about one way or another (faculty list!). totally sweet is that the fellow has the balls to post his photo. my question is, how the hell did ziggy find this so fast? this guy posted these on tuesday or something?!

I just got this today too (from astro peeps). Makes me laugh...because so many times I have wanted to say the same things...but I know I have left papers out in front of the lab room for several weeks. Imagine having to explain comments like these to some pre-med. Oh, the horror.

I saw it on metafilter, and was going to post it myself when I saw that Ziggy had beaten me to it by 9 hours. But what's more amazing is that he apparently beat metafilter by 2 hours.

You saw it her first, folks.

UPDATE!
the name is S. weigart or something and he is a CS major. come on, it's too easy to find out who is TAing 317L right now and play with his papers, right?
just sayin'

The fellows class schedule includes:
PHY 317L - General Physics II and lab. General physics. Not engineering physics. In a couple of hours, I've completed half of the first (of six) homeworks. As opposed to engineering physics, which would take me four to six hours to complete a single one (of thirty six) homework. Part of me is frowning at taking the "easy" (i.e. not impossible) physics course, though the electromagnetics and optics engineering physics was the only course I had ever dropped. (The instructor signed the drop form without even asking for a reason, I suppose it's something that happens frequently.) Then again, I've long since forgotten if misery loves my company or vice versa.

No surprise: the Masked Grader is being taken down by the Man.

At the request of UT Austin's Student Judicial Services office, I've taken down the files pending an appointment I have with them next week. I'll have more information sometime next week. I still encourage people to donate to Literacy Austin and Reading is Fundamental via the PayPal link below.

I would guess that they'll try to nail him for Sec. 11-804

"1. conducting himself or herself in a manner that impedes, interferes with, or disrupts any University teaching, research, administrative, disciplinary, public service, learning, or other authorized activity;
3. damaging, defacing, destroying, tampering with, or taking without authorization property of the University or property located on the campus and belonging to any student or employee of the University or visitor on the campus"

and even perhaps

"12. engaging in harassment. Harassment is defined as conduct that is sufficiently severe, pervasive, or persistent to create an objectively hostile environment that interferes with or diminishes the ability of an individual to participate in or benefit from the services, activities, or privileges provided by the University."

It's pretty fun to read through the rules and see which ones you've violated or not. "Sec. 11-804. Certain Other Offenses, #11" is my favorite
