Yes NanoCindy, I think you bring up an excellent point. matthewlane is merely lashing out because he can take no more of the self-flagellation that is currently afflicting the denizens of Wahoo Nation.
There have not been more tears shed into tumblers of Maker's and Coke (and Rohypnol--natch!) since it was learned that REM is not really saying "no beer Cavaliers" in EOTWAWKI(AIFF).
Mr. Lane can take heart in the fact that due to the Cavalier's measly offensive output, his namesake stadium was only polluted by his homophobic, "Auld Lang Syne"-ripoff of a school song but twice. Here's to small miracles! Wah-hoo-wah, indeed.

It looks to me like the last episode of this lengthy rivalry is UVA's bitter defeat in glorious LANE stadium. That must eat at your soul.
